Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog! My name is Lindsey Alaine and it is my hope that you find encouragement through my posts and learn more about how to seek and serve God in your daily life. The name for this blog was inspired by my favorite verse, Matthew 5:16. It reads, “Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.” It is part of the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus is delivering powerful messages about how we are to conduct ourselves in a world full of sin and people who have been hurt. Jesus is the light of the world. If we claim to be born again believers (2 Corinthians 5:17) He has given us a piece of His light carry into the darkness. That darkness can come in all forms. It is how we show love to our neighbors; how we care of the needy; how we reach parts of the world where churches don’t exist. It is how we listen to the hurting and reach out to those who have no direction or purpose in life.
It all comes back to John 13: 34-35, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
You will find that most of my posts in some way or another will tie in verses from The Bible and I hope you will discover how applicable that ancient text still is in today’s world. Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord. I believe He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life here on earth, died on a cross and rose from the grave three days later conquering death.
I am a wife to an amazing man and we are currently raising a very busy toddler boy. I am a certified Physician Assistant (PA) who works part-time in pediatrics. I love spending my time taking care of newborns all the way to teens going off to college. You will find some fun medical facts mixed in with occasional blogs I’m sure because I find the body fascinating!
My latest endeavor is being an author of a book titled: Scars of the Heart. I am so excited to share my testimony through this new avenue and would love for you to check it out. I have always enjoyed being involved in my local church and I think it is very important to surround ourselves with positive relationships. We are also called to use what God has entrusted to us – from finances to our spiritual gifts – to further the gospel and being active in church is a huge part of that. It is my desire to give you hope, challenge your thoughts, and learn how to brightly shine the light that God has given you so that His name can be glorified!
Enjoy your stay & come back to visit often!
